Students should arrive at each lesson on time, well-prepared, and with all necessary materials. Materials include current music, 3 ring binder with manuscript paper, staff paper and 5 subject dividers. Daily practice is essential to real progress. It is helpful to set a specific practice time that can be kept daily to make practicing a regular habit. Each practice session should be as long as your lesson time. Practice after a lesson to reinforce new concepts and sounds that were introduced at the lesson. Recording each lesson is a valuable tool to hear your pieces being played, developed, and corrected.
